BRUCE HORN


Bruce is a professional musician who started his career in 1969 and continues to thrive due to his love of what he does! After 6000+ gigs he knows where and what to play. In that time he's shared the stage with acts as diverse as George Strait, R.E.O. Speedwagon and Tiny Tim! For REAL! His musical taste is just as diverse. He believes that bass is the glue that holds the band together and as such should get in the pocket and stay there! He is an accomplished harmony and lead singer. His resume includes national acts Timothy P. and Rural Route 3, Firefall and B.W. Stevenson

 

Jimmy Willis
 

Jimmy started playing drums when he was barely tall enough to reach the pedals on his drum kit. As a self taught drummer It was his love for all styles of music that helped develop the foundation of his playing. From there, watching and listening to other drummers  from Rock, country, blues and jazz has allowed him the opportunity to play many genres. Starting with his fathers band at the age of 13. Jimmy has toured all over the US playing drums and singing for both national and local artist. Last year marked 40 yrs as a professional in the music business. He is not only a great drummer but an outstanding singer as well. The total package!  

Jerry Erickson
 

Jerry "Muttonhead" Erickson and Bruce started playing together as teenagers in Jamestown, New York. Bruce moved to Illinois and Jerry soon followed. They played together for nearly 20 years in one of Illinois favorite bands, Timothy P. and Rural Route 3! The band moved to Colorado where they were voted Denver's favorite band three years in a row and won the very first Marlboro Country Music Contest! After 20+ years in Colorado Jerry moved back to Illinois and Bruce soon followed. Jerry was soon an in demand musician and he continues to play with several other acts when time permits. He's been called the ultimate utility man, playing guitar, slide guitar, steel guitar, dobro, singing lead and harmony vocals!

Doug Greenlee

Doug's finger style guitar playing is without comparison! He sings both lead and harmony with equal expertise and his style brings a different perspective when playing with Jerry! Doug began playing guitar at age eight and performed with his Dad's band when he was twelve! He has played The Wheeling Jamboree in Wheeling, WV and backed up everyone from Hank Thompson to Humble Pie! He is a much sought after guitarist and a great edition to the Fabulous Hoedads!

 

RANDAL RHOADS

Randal has a vast and impressive resume. He has played with some of the very best bands in the area, backed national touring acts and is the musical director for two Patsy Cline Shows! He is a work horse and workaholic as well as a showman and front man! His savvy and sense of musical direction is unquestioned and if the gigs booked he's there! That is known as reliability! He is a founding member of The Pearl Handle Band, and is considered the consummate professional and nice guy! His soulful singing and showmanship are a highlight of any Fabulous Hoedads gig!

 

Dennis Ingram

Dennis started playing music professionally when he was 13 years old. He played drums in his Uncle’s square dance band in a gym in West Lebanon, Indiana. At the age of 16, he started playing with Jim Henderson and The Country Gents, a Danville area band. It was in this band that he met Larry Warren. Dennis and Larry played with Jim for 2 years until Jim decided to slow down his bookings to once a month. Larry and Dennis decided they wanted to play more, so they formed their own band, The Vagabonds. This group played together for 4 years. It was at this time that Dennis started doing lead vocals. Up to this point, he had only done backup vocals. Eventually the the name of the band was changed to Country Cookin’. They played all over east central Illinois and west central Indiana. This group stayed together for 18 years, with the occasional change in players. Dennis and Larry played together for 24 plus years. Recent bands that Dennis has played with are Pure Country, Boss Hogg and The Good Old Boys and The Back Home Band. He presently plays with The Fabulous Hoedads on a regular basis and is the main drummer at Curt Phelps’s monthly Jam at The Black Bear in Danville. He also does sit in gigs occasionally. National Artists that Dennis has backed up or been apart of their shows include Charlie Walker, Kenny Price, Sammi Smith, Billy Crash Craddock, and Don Williams.
